Set one picture as a web album "cover", so that picture always displays first when the album is viewed.
Set one picture as a web album "cover", so that picture always displays first when the album is viewed. (I have added text to "cover shots" but they are pushed down the line when new pictures are added).

Volume and mute controls
Suggest adding a volume and mute control to the frame in future designs. Perhaps along the top or edge where it is convenient. It's very inconvenient to locate the remote and hold down the volume control to get to a muted state. Additionally, I was unable to find any reference to volume controls in your manual or knowledge base so it took a bit of trial and error to figure it out.

Auto-connect to available public wifi or mobile hotspots
My father-in-law is in a nursing home without public (open) WiFi network. It would be great to have the PixStar "automatically" connect and retrieve new pictures whenever it sniffs out a open hotspot. If someone comes into the building with a cell phone mobile hotspot enabled or if I'm visiting him, the frame can be updated without permanent connection to a WiFi network.

Show some screenshots of the troubleshooting on the web-site, and a picture of the remote.
I am trying to figure out remotely why the photos are not being displayed, even though the weather in 5 different cities is being displayed. Trying to tell my mother which button on the remote to hit from just the descriptions is like telling someone from the 1800s how to shift gears in a car.

Hash tag enabled
It would be great to link through hash tags. Also twitter handle. I'd also like to be able to have different skins or split screen. That would be cool

photo selection/move operations
It would be nice to be able to 'select all' and 'move to album'.
Also, actually it's quite confusing when you select a lot of photo and you press 'copy to album', you have a dialog box to confirm, then nothing happens on the interface, so you think nothing is done, but if you wait a green msg appear, maybe you can add a 'processing....' message display.

Create Export Plugin for iPhoto
Shutterfly and Picasa have both created third party plugins for iPhoto that allow you to directly export selected photos to their services from within iPhoto. It would be great if Pix-Star could develop a similar plug-in that would allow a user to directly upload selected photos into a specific Pix-Star web album. Without such a plug in, you need to export photos from iPhoto in order to get them in a file location that you can then upload into a Pix-Star web album. I realize that this request may be too specialized since it relates to just one application (iPhoto),…

Weather page viewing options
It would be nice to have one or more of the following options:
1. Display weather photos every n photos. Where n is user selectable in some way. Like show the weather every 10 photos or every 20 photos.
2. Display the weather photos as the first photos when the frame starts up with a prompt to hit some button on the remote of the frame to start my slideshow. This way since I have my frame turn on every morning at 6am, for example, when I wake up and look at the frame it will be showing me what…3 votes -
Create a new folder that would capture only new arriving pictures.
I like to assign pictures to different folders. One folder capturing all of the new arrivals would make the process easier. Currently, all pictures go into the in box, which contains all pictures. To move pictures to other folders you must view all of the pictures. This takes time and you also need to decide which pics are new, because they are marked that way.
4 votesAfter reviewing this is too complicated for the system to handle.
So we stay with the 2 options we have today:
1- default: all the incoming photo mails go to the INBOX folder.
2- option 2, that u can configure in the change settings which is to save the photo mails in a folder based on the sender email address.
We thank you for this suggestion. Sorry we can’t make it.
Regards,
The Customer Support Team.

It would be nice to have the ability to manage the folders on the frame from the web site.
Managing the folders on the frame is slow and frustrating. It can be done only by using remote accessing the from folder and then moving them to the new folder. Simple enough but doing it with the remote is slow.

View actual PixSar screen on PC
As many use this as a way to share photos with our older, less tech savvy parents, it would be nice to be able to see what their screen looks like from a PC. I am in FL and the PixStar is in KY. When they use the remote and can't find this or can't find that, it would be really great to be able to control the screen from my computer. Such as teamviever.com type of application.
