  2. Support for importing from Amazon Drive and Prime Photos

    Would be awesome to be able to import from Amazon Drive and Prime Photos. I have thousands of photos saved there.

    We would be very happy also to support Amazon drive but currently Amazon does not accept any new developper to connect to their system.
    I suggest you contact them and suggest them to re-open the developper application process, we would be very happy to add Amazon Drive to the frame external support list.

  3. Ability to control the contents of the photo frame through the web interface.

    I'd like to see and exact replication of the contents of the photo frame and be able to delete, import, arrange the photos and then resync with the frame.

  4. Sync subfolder content automatically on dropbox

    On dropbox you make a folder "CadreNumerique" with Subfolder inside like "Vegas2012" "Weeding of Joe" "Familly Birthday" ect...

    It would be nice if you can just sync "CadreNumerique" then all subfolders with pict inside would be sync.

    Actually you have to choose each folder one by one... And if you add a new folder in dropbox you have to go again on mypixstar website to manually add this folder...

  5. force sync or sync now option

    It'd be great if there was a force sync or sync now option on the frame menu or via the web.

    I noted that periodically the frame will indicate % of photos synced, but the more pictures you add, the longer the sync appears to occur.

  6. Import picture taken date from Web Album - Google Photos (Picasa, google drive, Google+)

    Hi, we use Google Photos to host pictures for a web album. The grandparents would love to see the date the picture was taken on the Pix-Star frame. Unfortunately, the date-taken metadata doesn't move with the picture from Google to Pix-Star. Could you please update your connection to Google to have the date-taken metadata included with the pictures as they are synchronized?

  7. Amazon Cloud Drive appears to have an API now.

    I will buy your product (picture frame) if you can link to Amazon Cloud Drive. It looks like they now have an API, please take a look.

    Unfortunately if you go to the Amazon developper link you provided you will see this message:
    “The Amazon Drive API and SDKs are currently closed to new developers”
    We’d love to implement such feature but amazon is not open to this idea right now…

  8. Customize the order of photos in web albums

    I would like to be able to customize the order of the photos. Right now I only way I can see to do this is to delete and then upload in the order I want the images, but if it could be done via the Web Album interface that would be great.

  9. Update the photos more often

    First of all can I just say that the customer service I've revived from Arnaud had been fantastic.

    However, I would like it if the photos (especially from Google) to be automatically imported more often.

    It says that they are update 4 times a day, so that would theoretically mean that the longest you should have to wait is 6 hours. But I have found that not to be the case.

    From what I can tell, they have only been importing once per day at around 17:00 to 18:00 GMT.

    This isn't a huge problem, but it would be nice…

    Due to huge amount of pictures and web album we have now from these external providers and that the provider don’t provide a solution to notify us when a change is made in their albums, we can’t implement this update to be more often.
    We are very sorry about this.

  10. Display on the frame "Photo Title" using "Photo Title" information contained in EXIF

    Currently the frame displays "Photo Title" as the file name. The vast majority of people do not rename their picture files with "Photo Title". Also, using many Web services Pix-star uses a file name with a meaningless RSS number (not the original file name). It will be very useful if an option would be available to display on the frame "Photo Title" using "Photo Title" information contained in EXIF

    Hi,
    Please allow the frame to connect to an OwnCloud instance. I have lots of photos in OwnCloud and would love to be able to share these with family members who have the PixStar frame. I don't want to upload these photos to a public cloud provider to be able to share them.

    Due to technical limitations we can’t implement such feature. We can’t detect duplicate pictures because they may be the same picture but have different name, so we can’t just use the file name to check for duplicate, to really find duplicate this would imply we can check the content of the picture itself and compare all the pictures, this is not possible technical in our system.

  13. Combine UPnP folders with other sources

    It would be very beneficial to be able to combine a UPnP server source with all other sources currently available. This way, you could truly have a "Play All Pictures" option available if you are taking advantage of the local pictures, emailed pictures, web albums like Flickr and a UPnP source.

  14. On/off (sleep) button on remote should disable motion sensor

    It honestly doesn't make sense to have the sensor running and waking the frame if I manually choose to put it to sleep.

  15. Auto-connect to available public wifi or mobile hotspots

    My father-in-law is in a nursing home without public (open) WiFi network. It would be great to have the PixStar "automatically" connect and retrieve new pictures whenever it sniffs out a open hotspot. If someone comes into the building with a cell phone mobile hotspot enabled or if I'm visiting him, the frame can be updated without permanent connection to a WiFi network.

  17. Remote access for volume control for videos

    It would be nice to be able to control video volume remotely (turn down or mute), right now it sometimes scares my mom (82) when a video starts playing and she is in the other room.

  18. Allow photos to be stretched to fill the screen - in all cases

    The smart fill option does not really work well. The restriction that the picture has to be a certain resolution before it will be stretched would only make sense for purists. For most people landscapes and even portraits should never be displayed with black bars or as a small box. I have sent high resolution pictures to the frame that don't even fill the frame. At the very least, the user should be given the option to override the minimum resolution requirement. It would be great if this could be done.

  20. O365 integration ::new meeting appointment

    hi,
    I would like a feature which I will be able to create a new meeting appointment from my Business O365 account, and add my email frame xxxx@mypixstar.com in the to: Field.
    the frame will auto accept the meeting and will show it on the screen,

    it could be nice to notify my home kitchen (where the frame is placed on the wall), for dentist appointment, kids school remark....
