  3. A remote control for the elderly with 3 large buttons only. Back, forward and stop. Hide the rest under a flip up cover.

    Many older people ( and younger ones!) get confused trying to operate a remote control. The maze of buttons is overwhelming to them. And if arthritis sets in, it's almost impossible to use one. Would you look into a remote that has only 3 large buttons showing, - back, stop and forward. Hide the remaining necessary ones under a flip cover so they can't be seen....Out of sight , out of mind. I am impressed by your frames and am buying one for my 89 year young mother. Thanks!

  4. Sync subfolder content automatically on dropbox

    On dropbox you make a folder "CadreNumerique" with Subfolder inside like "Vegas2012" "Weeding of Joe" "Familly Birthday" ect...

    It would be nice if you can just sync "CadreNumerique" then all subfolders with pict inside would be sync.

    Actually you have to choose each folder one by one... And if you add a new folder in dropbox you have to go again on mypixstar website to manually add this folder...

    Gave as a gift to my mom a Pix-Star and she is very happy, the device is really good, deserves the accolades that make the criticism. I suggest that you can select the language to navigate around the site, because as the picture frame is sold worldwide this should allow the choice of language, in our case the Portuguese of Brazil.     We double checked on thislife.com web site and as of today they still don’t provide any way for 3rd parties to access pictures stored inside their service.

    Shutterfly DOES provide an API that allows 3rd parties to access users pictures with authentication (and we use it, so Pix-Star users can access shutterfly pictures), but thislife.com not (at least “not yet”).

    So for this reason we cannot add this provider right now. You may contact thislife.com people and mention this problem to them, see if they can do something

  9. Stitching photos together

    I love my pixstar photo frames (I have several now). However one function I would love to see is linking photo so they play in a short sequence (almost like a slowmo movie). I love the random picture with my dropbox photo album but sometimes I have a action sequence or a before/after photo it would be great if I could somehow stick them together (had consider recording them in flash or as a video for play back but pixstar does not support this etc) and when the pixstar came across that grouped picture set it played them as a…

  10. Editing feature to crop and edit photos

    is there a feature on this website that allows the user to crop photos or edit them? that's all this frame user wants. great product, but i'd like to crop some photos so portrait photos are closer up. thanks!

  11. Provide a way to review and approve photos using the Web interface BEFORE they get transferred to the frame

    We've got a multi-frame set-up with frames in several buildings. We want to allow people to send photos to the frames, but have to be careful about pranksters sending inappropriate photos. I know we can enable the feature to not automatically display new photos, but somebody has to go to each building to review and approve the photos. It would be nice if we could approve the photos using the Web interface BEFORE they get sent to the frames.

    As a workaround, we're going to restrict the frames so only one person can send photos to them, and everyone will…

    I'd like to see and exact replication of the contents of the photo frame and be able to delete, import, arrange the photos and then resync with the frame.

  14. The Web Radio genre choices are poor. Pixstar should use SKY.FM internet radio as an example of how "Genre" should be categorized.

    SKY.FM Internet radio has over 60 genre classifications - each described and easily understood. The way Pixstar stations are listed, there is no way of knowing what the format of the individual stations is until you listen to sample after sample, which could take hours and hours of hit and miss scrolling.

    Bottom line - break the stations down a lot further by category and better describe their format.

    I enjoy Relaxing Music, New Age, Nature, Dreamscapes, Love Music,for example, just to name a few. Where exactly do I find this type music in the Web Radio menu?

  15. Combine UPnP folders with other sources

    It would be very beneficial to be able to combine a UPnP server source with all other sources currently available. This way, you could truly have a "Play All Pictures" option available if you are taking advantage of the local pictures, emailed pictures, web albums like Flickr and a UPnP source.

    Great product! My parents who live outside of the US and are technically challenged are very happy to receive this as a gift. They'll enjoy daily surprises of their grand children and I will be able to manage the frame remotely.

    Hello,

    fortunately it is impossible because Snapfish does not allow third parties to access their pictures.

    It is not a pix-star issue, nobody actually can do it.

    We really also would like to support this nice provider….

  19. Add email template/editing for sending photos to friends

    Hi,

    I would appreciate if I could change default email body when sending photos to friends. My parents are not native english as well as their friends/families. It would be good if I could change the email body somewhere on web portal.
    Additionally, Would it be possible to apply different email templates/messages for different email contacts or groups (friends, families,co-workers...)

  20. Allow changing/pausing radio station while in slide show

    When in slide show mode, I want to be able to change the radio channels directly, or at least stop the stream that is currently played.
    At the moment, it seems like the radio can only be controlled by going back to the main menu and then having to click through the menu and folders again to go back to the slide show.
