It would be nice to be able to turn off weather and calendar widgets and just allow the display of pictures
In the frame configuration panel give the user the ability to turn off features from displaying like weather and calendar date. This would allow the user to just experience the pictures.

This is already possible, in the slide show press menu button in the menubar go to the option menu and here in " display details" choose to put to off.

The calendar is not going away on my frame. I would prefer to see only my photos.
My wife would prefer to see a simple quick display of the day’s time and temperature upon frame waking. Seeing the entire USA map is not helpful.
In the meanwhile we just want the calendar and map of the USA off. Other than this we are really enjoying your product which was a gift from my daughter.
