   Hello,

   To switch the time to 24h mode go to the frame change settings menu then here go to “language” and choose the 2nd english language (english UK) then automatically time will be 24h.

   I fully realize that "the current folder name" is shown at the top of the web site. That's nice, but it's not specific enough to help me go over pictures.

   While talking with grandma it's sometimes hard to know which picture she's seeing. It would be nice to activate a feature of the web site to know what the current picture is and show (perhaps a small version) it on the web site.
   This would be especially useful if the already-requested "multiple users but not everyone is an Admin" feature existed on the web.
   I have discovered that if I use the alphabetical sorting and can bring up the displayed album (have mom tell me the name at the bottom) that I can see the order of the pictures and then know what's coming up, but this is a complicated process and essentially impossible looking at the web site on a phone.

5. Caption and Story Annotation

   The most strongly supported suggestion (currently under Pix-Star review) relates to picture captioning enhancement. I strongly support this concept, but I’d like to see it go further, to provide greater flexibility. The extended system would allow annotation of each picture with an entire story, if desired. The caption and story collection for a Pix-Star frame would reside in a database file. The system architecture is as follows:
   • In frame setup, a user could specify the location of a single database file. A Pix-Star frame would not require a database file if its user did not need the associated features. The database file would be neither in the frame nor in the Pix-Star server. The user could assign it to consumer cloud storage such as Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive. If the designated file is unavailable during frame operation, the frame still works – just the feature goes away.
   • Whenever the frame user encounters a picture, either during a slide show or during some album maintenance activity, there would be an easy way to use the remote control to access the caption/story associated with that picture. For instance, while viewing a picture in a slide show, one might click the “+” button on the wireless remote. That would cause the frame to look for the picture’s caption story in the database file. If the file is not available, or if the file has no caption/story for this picture, then the button click is ignored. But if a caption/story is available, it is retrieved from the database and displayed on the frame in place of the picture. The “+” and “-“ buttons control scrolling. The user clicks the “OK” button to return to display of the picture.
   • The link between a picture and its caption/story in the database is a unique picture ID, which is a checksum of the picture’s pixels, computed by the Pix-Star server. It is automatically attached to the picture’s metadata whenever it distributes a picture to a Pix-Star frame. (Note: the same checksum picture ID is also used to prevent accidental picture duplication in a Pix-Star frame. This is described in a separate suggestion I made.)
   • The database file is written in plain ASCII. It is thus fully editable by any ASCII text editor, such as Microsoft Notepad.
   • A frame user (or administrator) creates and maintains his caption/story file as desired. Suppose the frame contains 100 pictures. For one of the pictures, the user wants to tell a story. He enters his story into the database file with his text editor, adhering to a fixed format that looks something like this:
   o [[xxxxxxxx]]
   o <<Stony Creek Catch, 7-11-21>>
   o They say there aren’t any fish in Stoney Creek. Well, this here picture begs to differ.
   The 8 characters inside double square brackets are the 32-bit checksum picture ID, expressed in hexadecimal ASCII. The story writer copies this number from the picture’s metadata available from the frame.
   The same caption/story can be assigned to multiple pictures by adding picture ID entries:
   [[xxxxxxxx]]
   [[yyyyyyyy]]
   The optional entry inside double angle brackets is the picture’s caption that is displayed with the picture in a slide show whenever that feature is enabled.
   The rest of the entry is the optional story.
   Here are some benefits of the proposed architecture:
   • The architecture allows a user to use it easily just a little, a lot, or not at all. A database file might contain only captions, only stories, or both, as desired.
   • Usage is completely optional. A missing or improperly formatted database file will never compromise normal frame operation. And necessary cloud storage is essentially free.
   • Because it is separately located, a large database file makes no storage demands on either the frame or the server.
   • Cloud storage assures that the database file is automatically backed up and protected.
   • The database format makes it easy to maintain the file with readily available text editor tools. Leaving file maintenance to the user drastically reduces the complexity of a Pix-Star implementation.
   • Nothing prevents a database file from being edited while a frame is using it.
   • Because the database file is located in the cloud, normal controls allow access to only authorized persons and frames.
   • Multiple frames could be linked to the same database file. An extended family might share a large collection of pictures which they display on several geographically distributed Pix-Star frames. One (or more) member of the family who is computer literate maintains the caption/story file which supports all of the family frames. When the user of a subscribing frame deletes one of his frame’s pictures, or adds a new picture, the system is not compromised.

6. I would like a tech to help with my problem

   Actual person would be nice. I purchased this frame and noticed it had been open but let it go. I have been trying to get someone to help me get my frame registration resolved.
   It does not give me anything other than it's not valid
   Now, I'm old and can get kinda cranky but really believe in my heart that this frame will work.

7. Show pictures in Onedrive subfolders

   Please could you add this functionality either as a sensible default or an option?
   I am scanning thousands of family photos to a Onedrive folder which is shared with my father's Pix-Star. Within that one folder the pictures are organised into many subfolders by subject and decade.
   Surely it should be very easy to do this? It was suggested here several years ago and got 32 upvotes. There was a response saying the R&D team would look into it but no further updates or progress apparently.
   We love the Pix-Star idea and are considering getting more frames for other family members. It would be great if we could all then enjoy the full archive of digitised photos.

   I would like to be able to combine albums to make it easier to delete duplicate photos. I have over 3,000 photos in multiple albums from several online backup services and there are a lot of duplicate photos.

9. Ability to select local folder slideshow from website

   I see how I am able to select a slideshow to display all pictures (including local, web albums, etc) or only a certain web album. However, I cannot see a means of selecting to display only pictures from the inbox or another local folder from the website. As someone who is managing a frame for his parents who live in another country, this would be useful, for example, for displaying birthday or other greetings and ensuring they are noticed by the recipients.

   If I haven't just overlooked this, I think it would be a very useful addition without a great deal of development needed.

10. Nicknames

    I'm trying to manage my picture frames. In the select frames list, the frames are named based on the e-mail created. Right now I only have 2 frames and I'm having a hard time remembering who's frame is who's. I plan on adding at least 3 more frames. I will need to make 3 more e-mails that I will need to remember who's created e-mail applies to who. If our frames can have nicknames it'll be easier to manage. So "Alesia_Family" Frame could be nicknamed "Grandma's Frame" and "jalesia" Frame could be Dad's Frame. With the option to have 25 Frames on 1 account, this would drive anyone bonkers

    Please Please Please consider this an option to role out with one of the next few updates!

11. Software changes notes / updated manual

    I have just updated the software on my frame and noticed new features such as being able to select what transitions are in use and displaying recent pictures or latest pictures - I don't know the difference between recent and latest and these are not referenced in your user manual and these options are not available on the online configuration page - only from the actual frame.

    It would be great if you had a page to show what changes are made with software, if they could be reflected in your online interface and also an updated manual to reflect the changes.

13. Show new photos in auto accept mode

    I very much like the auto-accept mode. However I would like to see the picture that just arrived.

    Please: when a new picture arrived via email, wait until the next picture would be displayed, ring the bell, AND show the newly arrived picture.

    If more pictures arrived, they should be shown (with the bell sound) with the normal delay (or when switched to the next manually).

    Hello,

    this mode ALREADY exist inside the frame.

    Right now you are using the “auto accept mode” try to use the 2nd one named " auto accept with notification" this mode will automatically open the photo mail and show it on the screen during 10 seconds before moving to the next one.

15. Email Web Album Photos Directly to Other Unlinked Frames

    We have given pixstar frames to family - we do not want our frames to be linked together. I would like to email directly some web album photos I load onto our frame. Right now I can do this with photomail, but not web albums. I have to email each photo separated via standard email.

    In your account go to View My Web Album Pictures and click on the album you want to share with another frame then press the SHARE button then enter the other frame info, this album will be shared to the other frame account automatically.

    This feature is already implemented.

17. SAMBA Client

    The frame already has a SAMBA server, so why not enable the SAMBA client so it could connect to a shared folder on a NAS drive to pull photos from. NAS and home storage is very popular (the main reason I purchased Pix-Star over Nixplay was DLNA support)

19. Allow weather to be scheduled for display daily

    The weather function isn't very useful when you never know when it is going to come up on the slide show. It would be great if we could schedule the weather to show up, up to two times per day. This way, for example, I could tell it to display only the weather for 1 hour daily from 7-8am and 8-9pm so we know at a glance what the weather is going to be for that day and prepare for the next day in the evening.

20. Do not show the (very) small pictures

    The frame show also the very very small picture. They are so small that it is useless to show them. It would be great to be able to configure a requirement for the size of the pictures to be shown.
