Allow you to rename the photos and or add captions
Would be nice to have a very brief description/caption displayed with the photo

I agree with the commenters before me. I've been looking around the guides and articles and FAQ to find out how to caption, or change the caption, for the photos.
I see that the title of a folder shows up, so that can give the event and date, but I can't add names to individual photos. And when someone emails a photo, I know the subject line becomes the caption, but I can't find a way to fix any errors.
Also, it's a bit confusing on the "Display Details" having a choice of "Picture Name" when it's just a string of letters and numbers that you can't change.
I also would like to remove the words, "Web Album", that show up alongside the album's name. It makes it harder to read the album title.
Thank you for making this digital photo frame that can have photos emailed to it! That makes a really big difference to our family.
Thank you in advance for upgrading and incorporating these suggestions!
You will be making many customers very happy! -

Arnaud, what is the update on this? What is the delay?

Still waiting. We need the ability to update captions on the website. It has been over 4 years now.

Fully in agreement with both enhancement requests

I agree that clearly this company is not interested in allowing users to add captions to photos. Seems like such a basic thing. We travel frequently and my parents have no idea what they are looking at when we email a photo of a gorgeous cathedral or even where we are or what is going on. Very disappointing.

I’m also very disappointed.
Captions are really needed when sharing photos with family far away, and difficult to add when sharing with the phone app.
I’m wondering now if we should have purchased the Nixplay instead. When friends who are considering a frame ask, I’ll certainly explain this big deal-breaker.
Please fix it so we can change the captions on the website!

Considering that this original question has been under review since December 2014, I assume Pix-Star doesn't want or isn't going to allow an option to fill in the subject once the picture has been loaded to the frame. Very disappointing.

My emails with subject line "caption" are not showing up as comments on the pics on the photo frame. There is nothing on the picture

Which field on email should be filled in for display on the photo screen?

Good Idea ... Now the young'uns can get info with the pix of great, great great, and 3+G Meme, Poppy etc.

Please allow this - captioning is important when someone is viewing the pictures sent by other people. Think about grand parents!

Add a choice of font & color to the emailed subject line. White doesn't show up very well.

If you email the pic to the frame it will use the subject line in the email as a caption. Wish it could be done via the app or frame itself but i could only find e-mailing pics one at a time with the subject line being "grabbed" as the caption...

Il serait bien de pouvoir renommer les photos une fois enregistrées sur l'appareil. Cela permettrait aux lecteurs de mieux comprendre les photos (lieux, dates, personnes...) qui figurent sur cette photo

I agree and have thought this for some time.

oh my yes, I just bought this for my mom and I was thinking what it needs is to be able to put in a name so when the picture comes up she can read who it is. (She has memory problems) also it would be great to be able to reorder the photos from the online access or choose to shuffle them so they are not in the order they came if I don't wish them to be. Finally the most helpful would be to be able to set the reminders from the website. My mom is in Texas and I am in Arizona and it would be super helpful to be able to remotely put in everyone's birthdays or pill reminders.

We are still waiting for this feature. When will it be developed? Are you the only one working on this?

how to add text to photos received on pixstar frame

What is the status update? It has been over 3 years now.

Please create a way for photos to be labeled after they are on the pixstar or through the website. The photo frames are marketed for family far away and often elderly, we need the ability to add names or subject so that Grandma can know which grandchild's family she is seeing! Its a little hard to keep 20+ families straight for her and new great grand babies are being born every year!
