Allow you to rename the photos and or add captions
Would be nice to have a very brief description/caption displayed with the photo

It would be very good to be able to rename the photo file. Displaying the file name at the bottom is a handy way to identify the picture, so that is a good feature. But it isn't nearly as useful as it should be without the ability to change the name of the stored file.
Many senders can't rename before sending. Some don't know how or don't want to take the time. iPhone users can't rename picture the send from Photos at all (and sending is super easy to do) because of a software limitation.
Pictures received get a little nonsense text appended to the file name. It would be nice to be able to edit that away as well. Is there a technical reason why that text needs to appear? e.g. myphoto.jpg become myphoto-ekmq8t.jpg when stored in the Photomail folder. -

The ability to rename the pictures on the site would be great. Being able to add details that are accessible from the frame with a details button would be greater!

Put me down as yet another person who wants to be able to recaption photos once they are downloaded into the frame for an elderly relative.

The auto-renaming of photos is incredibly odd. I spend a lot of time naming photos so that they display in chronological order, but Pix-Star seems to rename them with not rhyme or reason. This is incredibly frustrating. I can't figure out why PixStar would rename the photos upon upload. PLEASE CHANGE THIS.

New owner here. Can’t believe this request is from 2014. Why can’t we rename photos on the site?

captions or tags -- please add SOMETHING to let us play certain pictures. For example, I'd like the frame to display all pics from "beach week" vacations over the years. or all pictures of my son "John". And the ability to turn on/off caption.

My wife is in a memory care unit, a caption would be beneficial , not only to her but also to her caregivers to help discussions.

I also like the concept of captions. However I would want the caption/comment to be able to be long enough to put in lots of names for group photos. Like many others on this thread, I'm making an album to help an elderly person remember names & places. Also, rather than removing text from the middle of a description that is too long to be displayed (as in the case of file names), I would also suggest you dynamically switch to a smaller size font if it doesn't or automatically go to a second line display line.
I noticed back in 2014 you made a way that email could create caption, but that doesn’t help out the people who want to load up pictures using the USB method. Would it be possible to just display the “comment” metadata field imbedded the JPG that users could easily set via the windows properties tab? This is the top ranked idea that has been under review for a while. If there is a technical reason why it can’t be implemented or if there is no ongoing development for the frame, maybe just mark it declined?

Why can't we add captions? The phone app gives you the option to add a caption, but there is no option to have this caption appear on the display. Why? Can you give us an update on the progress of this feature?

I also would like to add captions to photos already in my Pixstar frame.
Also, some photos show up on the frame very small. What causes this and can I fix it? -

It would be nice to be able to rename the photos in my frame so my family will know who the people are in the photos or what/when the occasion happened.

I am an underwater photographer and take shots of exotic fish and invertebrates from all over the world. I recently purchased a frame for my young granddaughter. I have successfully linked my on- line albums to the frame, but it would greatly enhance her learning if I could add captions so that she could learn the different species. I hope you will seriously consider this enhancement.
