Play video from Web Albums
Would be really nice if the frame could play videos from Web Albums (Google Photos, etc.)...is it possible to add that functionality, or is it out of the question?

I have too many videos in my Google Photos to not be able to play them. This may be deal breaker for me.

In this marketing https://www.pix-star.com/blog/photography/google-photos-digital-frames/ at the very bottom, it implies it's possible to play videos up to 2 minutes in length. If the frame is streaming the video from Google I really don't understand why there would be a time limit, but nevertheless, it's not possible to stream from web albums.
This would be awesome to fix.

Im trying to figure out how to play videos. I can see the video on my account but it wont play. Your website says this is a feature of the frame, but I can see I am not alone on this issue. Can you provide feedback as to what are the instructions to do so. Thanks

So I have been searching, Googling, etc. trying to figure out why my new PixStar frame won't play the videos. Am I correct in understanding that they will not play? Just received my frame two days ago and it's disappointing to not be able to play videos.

i just emailed them to ask why my videos aren't playing, and here it is. sigh. i fully expected a frame at this price point to be able to play web-based videos. not a satisfied customer.

My videos play but they are all stretched out and distorted. Can’t figure out how to get them to play normally

The functionality to play a video is there, obviously, just not enabled for Web Albums. Geez, I'm going to start letting friends know not to buy the Pix-Star frame because it not only CAN'T play videos, it shows a thumbnail of the video with a play button that doesn't work. How freakin' stupid.

What is the update on this issue?? Literally all of my videos are located in my web albums. I am beyond dissapointed and may return my unit because of it.

This is actually ridiculous. I agree with the commented who said they were sold on false advertising. I assume most users upload the bulk of their photos/videos via web album (as opposed to emailing directly to the frame). Very disappointing & misleading.

Feel like I’ve been sold false advertising. Expected videos to play from downloads like Google Photos.
Please fix. Guess I should warn folks in a review. -

Frustrated with the lack of this feature as well. Or even a desktop app to do the file conversion... Why do I have to use a phone app?? That's not where I keep my files

The worst part about not being able to play web video is that it displays a thumbnail with a play button on it, as if you could play it. Super frustrating. Either play the videos or don't display them at all.

Please add ability to play videos from web albums. I thought this would be possible and it was one of the main reasons I went with this frame. Please release a software update

I tried with Android. Total failure.
I tried with USB. Quality is reasonable with 5000 kb/s video.
Only remote option that worked - e-mail - lowered bitrate, as everything was pixilated. -
